Space Makers - Prototype Walkthrough

on Sun, 03/09/2014 - 13:26

This is our walkthrough of our app prototype, which is the main part of our service to manage different working environments. The app lets you choose working modes and change its settings that limit available functionality of your computer to help you stay productive or undisturbed by colleagues. It also provides settings for integration with your connected environment. This may include chancing the colour of your lighting, having partitions enabled that block off any surrounding noises.

Funiture - Meet Joshua and Behind the Scenes

on Sun, 03/09/2014 - 13:04

This is Joshua. He's 31, studying Marketing and currently living with his partner. He's also a hipster who is aware and cares about the environment.

Yeah, and also Team Funiture is now speeding towards the final stretch by filming the final prototype. With full of rough takes and such, it's not going to be a msterpiece, but who cares?

Funiture - Prototype Attempt No.2 Feedback

on Sun, 03/09/2014 - 11:52

The feedback from the website service design has been received and the result so far has been decent, but there are a few comments regarding whose user will really going to use the Internet in terms of personas and their journeys. So, in the process of elimination, Team Funitiure ended up picking the 'young hipster Joshua' (bye-bye two retired elders and a young working nurse) and now making some final adjustments to the website.

As for the workshop service itself, hardly anything has changed, except one door on the 'wardrobe' is now in tatters and the other 'refurbish' into a beautiful door. Well, not quite yet.

Time to make the final iteration/attempt prototype! Wish Team Funiture good luck.

Funiture - The Final Stretch

on Sun, 03/09/2014 - 09:33

Morning, Jammers and anyone viewing this post!

Well, today's the last day of the Global Service Jam and in sunny (but eventually cloudy) Manchester, Team Funiture is now on the final stretch. Just going to do some more testing, getting some useful feedback and hopefully get some final adjustments before doing the video presentation today. Wish Team Funiture the best! :D

Funiture - Prototype Attempt No.2 The Web Edition

on Sat, 03/08/2014 - 19:29

So attempt No.1 for the Website was good, but could still need some improvement. So what does Team Funiture do? Make another iteration, now featuring improved layout given from some feedback and additional Facebook pages. Hopefully by the time the testing begins tomorrow, there will be a smoother result and make some last minute changes before the deadlines.

Funiture - Prototype Attempt No.1

on Sat, 03/08/2014 - 17:39

And so, prototype no.1 begins and the result - well, it was decent at best. Many nitpicks, mostly from the website design, include replacing the 'products' tab with 'store', adding social media links, e.g. Facebook and Twitter, putting testimonials and other feedback responses that need addressing for the next prototype attempt.

As for the workshop itself, a few people say that it's a nice idea, but it could use a couple of improvements. For example, splitting the workshops into two for those who prefer stripping down and doing experiments on the furniture over decorating them.

Well, time for prototype no.2!
