Some validation!

on Sun, 03/03/2013 - 14:45

So we set up a Facebook page in order to try and garner feedback ... which came rolling in and has been quite useful! :)

1) There is already a service like this in Scotland www.dailyfarm.com. Currently on the west coast they are not direct competitors, but they do provide validation that there is a market for this idea.

2) A friend who's parents run a farm said that they would be quite likely to want to supply a site like Dirty Tatties. One caveat he had was that many farms want to be able to keep their "own brand or sentiment". He also mentioned that local food is taking off in the way that organic did before it, but is much easier for farms to become involved in. The paperwork/rules for being able to call yourself organic are extensive.

Dirty Tatties- Solving the feedback problem

Getting feedback from Aberdonians in the street, particularly on a Sunday morning. How could we get actual, face-to-face feedback?
